Ed Malysz is the Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Veritas.
In this role, Ed leads the Global Legal Affairs team, which includes the legal department, ethics and compliance, and government affairs. Ed joined Veritas in 2021 and prior to Veritas, he served for 10 years as SVP, Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at Serena Software. Prior to Serena Software, Ed spent nearly five years at Symantec and Veritas – serving as VP, Corporate Legal Services and Assistant Corporate Secretary at Symantec from 2005 to 2006 and at Veritas from 2002 to 2005.
Ed received his law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law and has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
